Ava Liu (Yu Kiu) yesterday promoted the horror film ALWAYS BE WITH YOU (SEUNG JOI NEI JOR YAU) in Mongkok. The film company also arranged for two white faced "female ghosts" in red clothing with paper offering dolls to pose for photos with pedestrians. Yu Kiu played tongue twister games with the people.
Yu Kiu said that she had many first time experiences while making ALWAYS. She played a ghost for the first time, jumped off a building for the first time and lay in a coffin for the first time. Thus she felt very scared. Earlier she watched the TROUBLESOME NIGHT (YUM YEUNG LO) series of films and was very honored to be a part of it this time. She also watched SADAKO and many ghost films for research, but in the end she realized that many ghosts could not be seen and thus she had to do it her own way. She admitted that the most frightening was her coffin scene. At the time she thought it would be great for someone to open it sooner because it was very stuffy inside. The building jump scene was also very scary. Although she had a double, during the shoot she had to sit on the second floor edge of the roof. She also had to shoot at the crematorium. Thus before hand she struggled within. Luckily the shoot went smoothly. As for anything memorable, she said that once after getting home she found some of the wig inside her handbag and she jumped. Actually the crew thought it was hers and put it in her handbag. Would she watch this film with her boyfriend Adason Lo (Law Lik Wai)? Yu Kiu said probably. "My boyfriend watches all kinds of movies. He isn't really afraid of anything. (Are you afraid that after watching it he would be afraid of you?) Probably not."
