The 36th Hong Kong Film Award will take place tomorrow at the Cultural Center. Yesterday's worship ceremony took place with the Hong Kong Film Award Association president Derek Yee Tung Sing, host Ronald Cheng Chung Kei and Hong Kong Film Award board members. Yesterday the latest guest list was announced. It included Michael Hui Koon Man, Jackie Chan, Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Aaron Kwok Fu Sing, Leon Lai Ming, Raymond Wong Pak Ming, Karl Maka, Dean Shek Tin, Zhang Ziyi, Vicki Zhao Wei, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Shawn Yue Man Lok, Gordon Lam Ka Tung and Richie Jen (Yam Yin Cha). Best Dressed judges will be Simon Yam Tat Wa and his wife Qi Qi.

Cheng Chung Kei will host again this year but this time by himself, without Lam Ka Tung by his side. Ronald said, "Ka Tung this year will be in the audience. I am happy for him too. Selfishly I hope he wins!" As for the solo hosting gig, Ronald said that he had pressure but the event hoped to preserve more time for the guests and the winners so they would not be rushed.

Ronald this time will also be responsible for the opening performance. He will play many classic film characters and performed a classic film song medley. He sad that he will play other people's characters, including women. He also made up funny lyrics. After the Hong Kong Film Awards, Ronald will direct and star in his new drama GAU SUK (SALVATION).

Yee Tung Sing said that he has watched Ronald's rehearsal and said that he truly was a master of making people laugh hard and stealing the spotlight. Thus he asked viewers to watch the show on time.

As for this year's Hong Kong Film Award, Siu Bo said that more new screen writers and directors participated. He used to be pessimistic and felt that the film industry would have a gap from the northern migration. Yet this year Hong Kong had 27 new directors. He hoped that the new force will be able to create a new landscape.
