Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi's mother Shally Davies recently played a mother whose daughter had an abortion and committed suicide in the supernatural film CASE II. She said that she made the film because she was "super fan" of her co-star "ghost king" Edmond Poon Siu Chung. Did she run into anything supernatural during the shoot? She said, " When they shot the 'hundred ghost night banquet', I went to Wo Hop Shek to visit the set. As soon as I got off the car I couldn't breathe and got dizzy. Some workers said that they heard a woman's singing. I never had that feeling before, so a ceremony had to be done immediately to put us at ease."

The film was shot on location in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Foshan and Thailand. Poon Siu Chung said that while in Thailand he visited the "river of abandoned babies", which felt eerie. He even tried to communicate with ghosts there. He praised Pak Chi's mother for her performance in the film and said that she would qualify for a Best New Actor nomination. Speaking of the box office, he said, "This type of films have certain supporters, the previous film didn't lose money and even made a profit. I am confident about this time. (will you make another sequel?) I won't eliminate that possibility."
