Eddie Peng Yu-Yan, Sean Lau Ching Wan, Louis Koo Tin Lok starred in the Benny Chan Muk sing directed, Sammo Hung Kam Bo action directed new film CALL OF HEROES (NGAI SING). After four days in release it already made over HK$ 4.1 million in Hong Kong. While promoting in Taiwan, Eddie played host and took Ching Wan and Chan Muk Sing to places like Kaohsiung and Taichung.

Eddie was particularly nervous about the box office and viewer response. Before appearing at audience appreciation events, he peeped through the door to see the audience reaction. His appearance drove female fans into a frenzy. They not only gave him a "poke ball" gift to "capture" him but a young fan asked for a photo with "Eddie Gor Gor". Eddie's mind on the audience response in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Malaysia and made a video to thank the audience for its support. "This film has many actors. I play the wanderer Ma Fung and have more fight scenes. In one action scene that Big Brother Hung directed, I had 53 takes and broke my own personal record! In other words, this is a movie that is worth everyone's support!"
The scene that Eddie had 53 bad takes on was a flying kick on wire scene that was completed under Hung Kam Bo's direction. Hung Kam Bo said, "I remember, from the beginning I thought he didn't do well and couldn't achieve what I wanted. Of course we had to shoot it better! (Because he is your god son you are more demanding?) I have very high expectation for anyone, the most important is the willingness to take risk and to work! (Are you pleased with your god son's performance?) I am! The rarest part is that he is willing to work hard, he never says whether he is willing or not. As long as he is willing, he can even play Superman! (Will you make a father and son film with him?) I haven't thought about it yet, maybe later."
