The film KNOCK KNOCK WHO'S THERE? (YAU HAT DOH) two nights ago held an audience appreciation event. Attending artists included Jennifer Tse Ting Ting, Carrie Ng Ka Lai and Annie Liu (Lau Sum Yau). Yet Ting Ting stated that she would decline any interview without specifying a reason.

Sum Yau has been busy with work. She said that she still had to promote another film GUIA IN LOVE (DUNG TAP HA DIK LUEN YUN). She admitted that she did not dare to watch KNOCK, perhaps she would watch it one afternoon. Reporters suggested for her to go with a male friend. She said that some guys were more scared than girls. Has anyone play scared for her to protect him? She said that she has not run into anyone like that, but it would be very hard to focus on watching the movie. She would rather watch with a group of cool headed friends to have a sense of security.

Would Sum Yau want to meet a brave boyfriend? She said that if her boyfriend was afraid of watching ghost films she could accept that. She did not need anyone to be very brave in this area. What if her other half was afraid of cockroaches? Sum Yau said being scared and afraid of cockroaches were not important either, the most important was not to scream. If he was scared, she would try to protect him. However she could not accept out of control screaming. Sum Yau said that in high school many male classmates screamed.

Speaking of this film's box office, Sum Yau felt that it would be a little less because school has already begun. She could only hope that everyone would still go and watch it.

Playing a serial killer in the film, Eric Kwok Wai Leung said that his wife Grace Ip Pui Man laughed as she watched the film. He also said that he received praises from William So Wing Hong. "After watching it he said that he liked my buns, but he didn't like that the buns belonged to the double. I thought about personally performing the scene, but my manager and Grace both said save it for later. Maybe Grace wants to 'privatize' my buns."

The film CONCERTO OF THE BULLY (DAI LOK SI. WAI OI PUI LOK) yesterday held its production start ceremony in Shatin. Actors included Ronald Cheng Chung Kei, Cherry Ngan Cheuk Ling, Chrissie Chau Sau Na, Jacky Cai Jie. Cherry in the film played a song writer. Yesterday she demonstrated her piano playing skills. Originally she did not know how to play the piano, for the character she took 25 lessons to catch up.

In the film Cherry was kidnapped. Cheng Chung Kei was the kidnapper's friend. They had an ambiguous relationship. Did Cheng Chung Kei feel that they would make a good match? He joked that for a kidnapper and a victim they were considered OK.

The 43 year old Ronald this time was paired with the 21 year old cherry. Did he feel that his co-stars were getting younger and younger? He said, "No, the original story is like this! The kidnapper has to have some experience! Actually my friend is the one who kidnaps her and puts her in my home. Later Cherry keeps ordering me around, I am her pawn. (Do you have any generation gap with her?) No! How can I?" Does Cherry like guys like Ronald in real life? She thought for a little and said, "He is very humorous." Ronald joked, "I told you she has a way with words. Genius!"

School began on September 1st. Cheng Chung Kei said that his daughter has been promoted to K2. He has been checking his daughter's homework and joked that the K1 homework was actually for the parents to do. Today he would take his daughter to school. He also said that sometimes when he would pick up his daughter from school he would wait for a long time and still not see her. His daughter was only concerned with playing with her classmates and usually was the last one to leave.

Chau Sau Na played a cop who was responsible for catching Ronald. Earlier she injured her leg during the shoot. She was recovering and could not wear heels. "Luckily the action scenes were almost done. In this scene I only listened to music, but even standing for a long time would hurt. (Are you afraid of any lingering effect?) The doctor said that it would, so either I have surgery or exercise more to strengthen the muscles. I don't want to have surgery." She looked like she was thinner. She explained that because the stress from work was enormous and her exercise rate was too excessive. Lately she also had stomach problems.

Stephy Tang Lai Yun and Wong Yau Nam in the film GUIA IN LOVE (DUNG TAP HA DIK LUEN YUN) played a couple for the first time. Stephy felt that it was rather strange to be in a romance with Yau Nam, because earlier they mostly worked together as "brothers" or friends. In particular this time they had a kiss scene, because they were too familiar they felt even more awkward.

Speaking of the kiss scene, Stephy stated that she has not informed her boyfriend. She said, "I have already decided long ago that I wouldn't tell him about any intimate scene to avoid any argument. (Would he mind?) No, he just doesn't want to know. If he has any intimate scene I would ask him to tell me." Stephy also said that her kiss scene with Yau Nam would only be a peck and nothing passionate. Once she thought that they did not capture the feeling and asked for another take. Yau Nam this time played a dealer at a casino and had a hour long training. He mainly learned how to take the money. Although romance was more comfortable than an action film, this time was opposite for Yau Nam. He had a fight scene and dove into a swimming pool. Luckily the result was also very romantic.

Although the film was shot on location in Macau, they did not try their luck at the casinos. Yau Nam said, "I don't have any luck with gambling, I am the leader of the fillet team. Once I lost 200,000 from an off plan property. After some hard days, I would only be more practical and save the money. I wouldn't dare to take risk with it." Stephy said that she was the "guiding light", when playing high low all anyone had to do to be right was to bet against herself. She said, "I don't have any confidence in pure luck. Instead I like playing mahjong because it has some skills to speak of. I can also chat with friends. I would be happier." Lately learning to play the stock market, Stephy said that the large fluctuations in the stock market also caused large fluctuations in her mood. However she believed firmly that as long as she did not sell she has not lost. The practical type, Yau Nam not only did not dare to gamble but also worked hard on creating a business. Over a year ago he worked with friends on the sunglasses business. He said, "It was only a small investment, I hope to start slowly. In the future I will be able to buy a home for the family."

Pakho Chau in the new film LOVE DETECTIVE (MOOT NUI SUN TAM) played an effeminate rich kid who sets off spark with Ivana Wong Yuen Chi's undercover pseudo model. Pakho Chau said that he put a lot of thought into this character. During his performance he added many cute gestures like shoulder shrugs and orchid hands. When he spoke he would deliberately raise his pitch. Ivana said that Pakho Chau was very nervous before the kiss scene. They ended up with several bad takes before a good one.

The Miss Hong Kong pageant took place last night at the Tseung Kwan O Television City, an all the city wide voting selected the top three. Finally the "10 A Scholar" (1) Louisa Mak Ming Sze won as the favorite. She also won Miss Photogenic to become a double crown Miss Hong Kong, leaving first runner up (4) Ada Pong Cheuk Yan and second runner up (9) Karmen Kwok in the dust!

12 candidates gave their all to win the crown. Candidates were eliminated throughout the program, each time the general public and the star judges' votes counted for a half. The top four candidates were the "10 A Scholar" Mak Ming Sze, the buxom (2) Jessie Ma Sze Ching, "sharp tongued Ada" Pong Cheuk Yan and "City U Karmen" Kwok Ka Man. Viewers through their mobile phone app TVB Fun chose the top three. When campaigning for votes each candidate tug at the heart strings and got teary eyed. Finally Mak Sze Man won over the people and won (925,173 points). The first runner up was her "nemesis" Pong Cheuk Yan (405,295 points), and the second runner up was Kwok Ka Man (257,064 points). The total voter number was 231,692 votes. Judges Simon Yam Tat Wa, Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung, William So Wing Hong and Edmond Leung Hon Man voted for Mak Ming Sze to be Miss Photogenic, making her the double crown winner.

Last night last year's Miss Hong Kong Veronica Shiu Pui Sze opened the pageant with a performance. Then Alfred Hui Ting Hung, Fred Cheng Chun Won and Hubert Wu Hung Kwan performed this year's Miss Hong Kong theme song as they led the 12 evening gown wearing candidates to the stage. Mak Ming Sze stole the spotlight in this segment. After the candidates gave an introduction of themselves, the unprecedented eliminated ousted (10) Kristi Chan Ching Yi and (8) Michelle Ching Lei Yan in a rather cruel fashion!

Then the ten remaining pageant competed in the talent portion. Most candidates gave dance performance. Mak Ming Sze threw herself into modern dance. With two wardrobe malfunctions previously she said that "hair was a part of life". When she kicked and flipped she had her third mishap and her pads made an appearance as well! The buxom (6) Hayton Ng Wai Hiu showed off her cleavage as she danced. Another more special performance was Pong Cheuk Yan's opera performance with Becky Lee Bik Kei, unfortunately she missed the high note. (5) Lam Hoi Yan performed orange juice squeezing magic with professional magician Avon Lee. (11) Amanda Yeung Yi Man and Ben Wong Chi Yin performed a falling scene from RAISING THE BAR. (12) Sunshine Chu Ka Lei and Jonathan Wong Chi Hin performed percussion music. During this performance the two star mentors Carol Cheng Yui Ling and Eric Tsang Chi Wai kept trading verbal jabs and hilarity ensued.

During the swimsuit portion, the candidates wore green bikinis to match the rain forest theme. Mak Ming Sze and (3) Ann Law Tan Hung were too thin for their suits. Ma Sze Ching and Ng Wai Hiu continued to draw attention with their figure, but Ng Wai Hiu was unable to win over the audience as she and (7) Sylvia Ng Pui Yan were both voted out to the surprise of many guests as they went "huh". During the question and answer portion, nicknamed "sharp tongued Ada" Pong Cheuk Yan was beyond confident. When asked whom she would suggest for the prepaid card commercial, she said, "I think this year's Miss Hong Kong, in other words me!" Kwok Ka Man said that there should be a "thin people tax" and said that Law Tang Tung went too far with her weight loss. Recently praised for slimming down, Chu Ka Lei's belly returned last night. She was made fun of for her inability to express herself in Chinese but won a lot of laughter in return.
