Mainland star Tang Wei yesterday appeared at the Tsim Sha Tsui pier to attend a skin care product event. Tang Wei revealed that she is busy with a new film production, but the location had to be confidential for now as she awaited the film company to make the announcement; her Korean director husband Kim Tae-Yong was busy with film editing in Korea. As for Korea's MERS pandemic, was she worried about her husband, did she ask him to wear a medical mask and go outside less? Tang Wei said, "we are in contact everyday. We are both adults, we know to wear masks." Was she worried about the pandemic? She felt that everyone had to face it together, just like when SARS erupted in Hong Kong.
Would she miss her husband as they were constantly apart? Tang Wei said that currently work still came first. Otherwise if she could not focus she would not be able to answer to the audience. As for parenthood plans, she said that she would take it naturally because her husband was busy with work too.
In addition, her film MONSTER HUNT was banned in the Mainland due to Ko Chen-Tung's drug case. When the film started production again it went over budget. Tang Wei said that she had no idea because she only guest starred for two days. Her scenes did not involved Ko Chen-Tung. Recently a film company planned to invest over 100 million yuan for the biography film LI NA. Director Peter Chan Ho Sun was responsible for casting, many top actresses including Isabella Leong Lok Si, Li Bingbing, Fan Bingbing and Tang Wei all fought for the role. Tang Wei said, "If I have the chance to exercise and make a film, something that would be good for health, I would be interested in it if the director wanted to ask me."
In addition, the Mabel Cheung Yuen Ting directed, the Alex Law Kai Yui produced, Sean Lau Ching Wan, Tang Wei, Jing Boran and Qin Hailu starred romance TALE OF THREE CITIES (SAM SING GEI) will open on September 3rd. The film was based on a true story about two couples during a war. In the film Lau Ching Wan and Tang Wei met in the war, after they fell in love the war separated them but both waited for their love.
