Sean Lau Ching Wan and Michelle Ye (Yip Shuen) earlier attended their new film INSANITY (FUNG BO YU)'s Shanghai premiere. Ching Wan was nominated for Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor with this film. Huang Xiaoming did not receive any nomination. He felt bad for Xiaoming. "Everyone can only see Xiaoming's pretty face and think that pretty boys can't act. Actually his character is harder to play than mine."

Lead actress Yip Suen revealed that she only had one scene, in which Ching Wan tossed her off a building after domestic abuse. She revealed that she only took such a role for Ching Wan. Speaking of Ching Wan's Best Actor nominations after hitting Yip Suen in both OVERHEARD 3 and INSANITY. Yip Suen said, "Next time how about I hit you?" Ching Wan gladly replied, "You can even kill me!"

Lam Ka Yun revealed that earlier she guest starred in Nick Cheung Ka Fai's horror film MASTER FAT (TOR DEI KUI MOR YUN). She stated that she really admired Ka Fai. Although acting and directing were tough, he still put a lot of effort into them. Would she like to direct? She said no, because she was still lacking in her acting part, she still had a lot that she needed to learn.

Francis Ng Chun Yu, Patrick Tam Yiu Man, Mark Cheng Ho Nam, Philip Keung Ho Man and director Lau Ho Leung, producer Soi Cheang Po Shui two nights ago attended the TWO THUMBS UP (CHUNG FUNG CHEH) premiere. Yam Tat Wa and Leo Ku Kui Ke were not in Hong Kong and did not attend. Guests included Ken Hung Cheuk Lap, Kathy Yuen (Tong Yi) and Michelle Wai Si Nga.

Chun Yu and Ah Tam was asked if the film will be released in the Mainland. Chun Yu said, "Of course, if not how would the film make our salaries back? It's several tens of millions, I am referring to the production cost." Speaking of Brother Wa's absence, some said that he was in Europe. Chun Yu and Ah Tam joked, "Did he went on vacation to show off? Originally we would be on vacation too, but because we have to attend the premiere we didn't go." Will Brother Wa have to take them to dinner as a penalty? Chun Yu joked that he would see if the box office would be better without Brother Wa's promotion. "Actually having Brother Wa to promote is good too. With him around I don't have to say too much. When interviewed together, he could say 3,000 words and I don't have to be afraid of saying something wrong and insulting anyone." Chun Yu said that during the shoot he relied on Brother Wa's to improve everyone's relationship, because he was very talkative and would share how he acted early in his career and how many homes he had around the world.

Ah Tam also joked, "Brother Wa earlier told us to have dinner at his restaurant in England." Chun Yu joked, "Brother Wa has so many buildings, how can I be friends with him? Haha."

The "Hong Kong Performing Artist Guild" 2015 fund raising banquet took place last night at the Intercontinental Hotel. The theme was "Our 80s". Current president Jackie Chan, vice president Stanley Tong Kwai Lai and Michael Miu Kiu Wai attended. However Jackie Chan stated that he would not accept an interview. Other guests included Karen Mok Man Wai, Irene Wan Bik Ha, Chin Kar Lok, Lo Hoi Pang, Bobby Auyeung Chun Wa, Candy Law Lam, Gigi Wong Suk Yi and Lee Ying.

Although Jackie Chan did not accept any interview, he brought a lot of items for the auction. The fund raised would be donated to needy industry people and assistance to some basic level activities. Second generation stars like Alex Lam Tak Shun, Wesley Wong Hoi Kit, Timmy Hung Tin Ming, Adrian Wong Chi Ching, Shaopin Tsui and Kelvin Kwan Chor Yiu were arranged to salute a group of elders that included three honorary presidents Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Alan Tam Wing Lun and Michael Hui Koon Man, as well as Liu Wai Hung, Miu Kiu Wai and Meg Lam Kin Ming. Tsang Chi Wai was asked how much money would he like to raise? He said, "As much as we can! This time Big Brother Jackie Chan 'made the call' so it was unrivaled. Big Brother also took out eight to ten items for the auction. The most expensive was Kenny Bee (Chung Chun To)'s calligraphy, the base price was over HK$ 100,000."

To coordinate with the event theme, Angela Tong Ying Ying, Annie Man Chung Han and Toby Leung Ching Kei were dressed as 80's bad girls. Leung Ching Kei's friends told her not to dress conservatively and hurry up to find another boyfriend; Ying Ying jokingly asked her to be her baby sitter and wet nurse. Leung Ching Kei admitted that she did not have time to meet guys and that her favorite was Tsang Chi Wai. Tin Ming and his pregnant wife Janet Chow Ka Wai appeared with 80s afro and sunglasses. Tin Ming said that his wife came up with the idea. They not only had fake rose tattoo, his wife also put on a mole. Tin Ming originally wanted to dress like his father Sammo Hung Kam Bo in HEART OF DRAGON and EASTERN CONDORS, he did not have time to prepare his costumes so he changed his mind. He would also share his father's past and play games.

Wan Bik Ha admitted that she dressed a little like "Hoi Chiu". She got sentimental when she recalled the 80s, because when she returns to work in the Mainland now, she still discovers people watching "Hoi Chiu". She still could hold a spot in the film industry.

[2015.04.01] ALEX FONG LIK SUN RETURNS TO PACO WONG

Alex Fong Lik Sun after his three year deal with Mainland company Huayi Brothers ended was rumored to follow his girlfriend Stephy Tang Lai Yun's footsteps and sign with Sun Entertainment. Yesterday Siu Fong officially held a press conference, officially signed with Sun Entertainment and work with Paco Wong again. Aside from Andy Hui On Chi, Mark Lui Chung Tak, Liza Wang Ming Chuen and others sending videos to congratulate him, his girlfriend Stephy welcomed this "junior colleague" and told him to be good. Siu Fong added, "Stephy is in Paco's hands, I have to win her back from Paco!" Paco presented a sword to Siu Fong for good luck, but Siu Fong joked that it was the most convenient to threaten Paco with to make movies for him.

Paco praised Siu Fong was "Mr. Nice Guy". He revealed that because Siu Fong, Stephy and director Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum)'s romantic film series will reach its tenth anniversary, he planned to make a tenth anniversary film this year. Siu Fong said, "I hope any argument at work wouldn't be brought home." The term "Mr. Nice Guy" and "home" inevitably made people think that he and Stephy were married. Siu Fong explained, "Home could be our individual homes, sometimes I would go to her home, she would come to my home, it's very normal. (Paco described you as 'Mr. Nice Guy'?) Did he mean a good teacher and a gentleman?" He said that this signing had nothing to do with Stephy. If he returned to work in Hong Kong, he would still choose Paco even if he did not take a cent. He and Stephy will work on a film, which Siu Fong admitted he was worried about. "Earlier I rarely talk to her about work. At work we have our own opinions, we can very easily get into an argument. I hope that during the shoot we will have little friction."

Francis Ng Chun Yu, Mark Cheng Ho Nam, Patrick Tam Yiu Man and others last night attended their film TWO THUMBS UP (CHUNG FUNG CHEH) premiere. The actors arrived in a mini bus that was retrofit into an Emergency Unit vehicle. Tam Yiu Man said that during the shoot he thought that he was very cool, but he did not even know that Brother Chun Yu has pulled off his wig. Everyone was stunned for a second before realizing it, perhaps the shoot went too late and they were too tired. Tam Yiu Man said that the wig in the end took an hour to get back on before he was able to take his mark again. Chun Yu said that this shoot was rather tough. Because of the numerous night scenes, he had to face the damaging problem of late night snacks. She said, "That's why we wouldn't eat unless Cheng Ho Nam ate first, because we were afraid of losing out to his figure."

Did Chun Yu ask Cheng Ho Nam for work out tips? He said, "He is an athlete, everyone's DNA was already done very early on." Cheng Ho Nam said that getting married later might be a little better. Chun Yu said, "Doing it less? Does it burn off the fat?" Would Cheng Ho Nam return to Hong Kong to work on another film? He said that earlier he was not in Hong Kong for awhile. If he would return he had to have offers from other people first.

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, producer Benny Chan Muk Sing and director Adrian Kwan Shun Fai yesterday attended an audience appreciation event for LITTLE BIG MASTER (NG GOR SIU HAI DIK HAU JEUNG). After only ten days in release it made HK$ 13 million. At the event, everyone presented a belated graduation certificate to "Chu Nui", who missed the celebration due to illness. The audience also fought to express their opinions.

Chin Wa said that she was the happiest about the donations that Principal Lui Lai Hung received due to the film and the news of the Yuen Kong Kindergarten expansion. She felt like everyone that she did was extremely meaningful, the result also exceeded expectation. She said, "A 60 some year old teacher after watching rekindled her passion for work and education. Actually I understand that after working for awhile the "gear slip" situation would appear, at the same time I also learned not to forget my initial intention." Would she change how she raised her son? Chin Wa admitted that she was an understanding parent and would not raise her son by formula too much. She also said that she finally was able to make time to be with him on Easter. Her son lately would whine and cry when he saw her leave the house, so she would make more time to be with him. Earlier a reader caught her shoe shopping for her son, she was surprised because she never saw another enter the store. Luckily she had make up on at the time. She even joked that this was a "supernatural incident".

After three years away from TVB, John Chiang recently joins a TVB series shoot

The 67 years old John Chiang Dai Wai after three years away from TVB recently worked on a new TVB series with Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung, Chan Kwok Bong, Nancy Wu Ting Yan, Natalie Tong Sze Wing, Rosina Lam Ha Mei and his son in law Raymond Cho Wing Lim.

John Gor, Cho Wing Lim, Lam Ha Mei and others two nights ago worked on the group scene at the TVB studio. Around 11PM John Gor suddenly felt discomfort. The crew immediately halted production for him to rest. Cho Wing Lim was worried about John Gor's health after his father in law had a balloon angioplasty operation several years ago. He did not dare to hesitate and immediately accompanied him to the Tseung Kwan O hospital. Chiang Da Wei stayed one night for observation, after accepting a blood test he was fine. Yesterday morning he was released.

John Gor said yesterday, "It's nothing special, they checked the heart. The report said it was fine. Tomorrow I will see the family doctor too. Since I had the 'balloon' angioplasty, even if I don't feel anything I want to be safe. (Were the late night series shoots too tough?) No, one notice a day, ten hours or so. It's not everyday for me either, only occasionally. Often I came back, shot two or three scenes and left. The workload hasn't been tough."

Cho Wing Lim yesterday said, "At the time I saw Father in law say that he felt discomfort in his heart, I immediately took him to the hospital for an examination. After a physical and a blood test, he was fine."

Producer Law Wing Yin said that the schedule would be adjusted so John Gor could rest. "We have already made temporary changes and stopped John Gor's shoots. We will wait until he sees his family doctor first. After everything is OK then he can return to work. (Was his workload too heavy?) His character is very important, most of the group scenes had him. 99% of our location shoots will be in the Mainland. Basically Hong Kong location shoots will be few. Lately it has been studio shoots, one shoot a day, but when seniors don't feel well they should get attention immediately."

The stars of the new film INSANITY (BO FUNG YU) Sean Lau Ching Wa, Nina Paw Hee Ching and director Lee Kwong Yiu earlier promoted the film. The producer Derek Yee Tung Sing said that Lau Ching Wa was an abnormal actor. Ching Wan said, "I of course am not abnormal, I am very normal. At home I am a normal man. When on vacation I don't do much. I am pretty dull, I would shop for grocery at the market, go on a hike, I also like to travel but I don't have to go too far. I can go to Taiwan or Singapore for a little relaxation."

After 20 years of marriage with wife Amy Kwok Oi Ming, Ching Wan said that I was already the happiest from having the care from the family and someone to talk to. Lau Ching Wan was nominated for the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor with OVERHEARD 3 (SIT TING FUNG WON 3) and INSANITY. Which one did he have more confidence with? Ching Wan said, "I haven't thought about it, usually after I am done that's it. Often I saw many of my own flaws, I would feel my performance wasn't good enough."

Paw Hee Ching said that she played a mental patient for the first time after years of acting. In the film Paw Hee Ching's daughter was murdered by her husband Lau Ching Wan, leading to Paw Hee Ching's mental disorder. Sister Bau said that her character was full of hatred, would not let the grudge on. Sister Bau in the film slapped Ching Wan. Sister Bau said, "The director handled that scene very well, shot from many angles. I had to slap Ching Wan many times." Director Lee Kwong Yiu said that the entire team was the industry's best, which added to his pressure. On the first day of work he had to shoot the Sister Bau slapping Ching Wan scene. Lee Kwong Yiu said, "With an experienced director, Ching Wan probably would have taken a little less beating. So I have apologized to Ching Wan and Sister Bau many times."
