Pang Ho Cheung, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Gigi Leung Wing Kei earlier appeared on cable's Film Montage porogram to discuss their film ABERDEEN (HEUNG GONG JAI).

Gigi in the film played a couple with Louis Koo Tin Lok, she said that after getting married she understood the interaction between a couple behind closed doors. Thus during her performance she had no concern and believed that the director would display her best side. On the other hand, Pang Ho Cheung caught her off guard with his sudden behavior.

In one scene Gigi attended a tycoon's dinner party. The scene was already completed but Pang Ho Cheung never yelled cut. Pang Ho Cheung joked that this was his specialty. He said, "(Shawn) Yue Man Lok has worked with me all the time and knows about my habits. Maybe because it is your first collaboration with me so you don't know. When I see an actor getting into character, sometimes I would keep going." He pointed out that that scene wanted her to perform that exact off guard feeling.

Chin Wa pointed out that this was the third time that she worked with Pang Ho Cheung. They had even more chemistry. She continued, Pang Ho Cheung was biased and treated Leung Wing Kei better. Pang Ho Cheung explained that this was because Chin Wa's character was heavier. He did not want to disturb her when she cultivated her emotions. Instead Gigi's character was more relaxed and they could chat and laugh on the set.

Chin Wa also revealed that Pang Ho Cheung had a performance fetish, citing that he often told her that he wanted to play a couple with her. The background would be an older woman, young man romance, but Pang Ho Cheung was obviously older than her. Chin Wa said, "He is very ambitious, he wants to play award winning characters. Thus he says that he wants to play someone with mental deficiency. Then he keeps on playing the character for me all the time on the set." Pang Ho Cheung already signed with a film company to be an actor. He said that the main reason that he wanted to transition to be on camera because directing was too tiring. In the future he would drop his directing job and try to do something else.

Donnie Yen Chi Tan in the new film THE ICEMAN (BING FUNG HUP: CHUNG SUN JI MOON) began a time traveling romance with Eva Huang Shengyi. Shengyi praised Chi Tan for his resemblance to her favorite character Do Min-Joon and said that Professor was an ideal boyfriend type. She praised Chi Tan was also an ideal boyfriend and also came through space and time. Both were suitable for women's ideal lover fantasy with good man's quality. Chi Tan had masculinity and sense of security that Do Min-Joon did not have. She joked that in reality if such a man appeared, she would pursue him vehemently.

Chi Tan has always been rumored to be hard to get close to, Shengyi was worried at first. After working together this time, the cast had nothing but praise for Chi Tan's attentive care. Chi Tan even bought the Hong Kong famous beef stew noodle for Shengyi to try.

OVERHEARD 3 (SIT TING FUNG WON 3) will open on June 5. The film was Derek Yee Tung Sing and Wong Ban produced, Alan Mak Siu Fai, Felix Chong Man Keung co-written and directed, Sean Lau Ching Wan, Louis Koo Tin Lok and Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) starred with Zhou Xun, Michelle Ye (Yip Suen), Alex Fong Chung Shun and others. In the film Lau Ching Wan played Lok Kam, "the top land baron" of all the New Territories. Since childhood he has known about the small house policy right exchanges and small house construction secrets. Ching Wan's character was very rich. He "had more money than he knew what to do with. Each time he went to enjoy himself he would take private jet to extremely secret luxury resorts. In the film Goo Jai went to party with Ching Wan and the various land baron class spending and services thoroughly stunned Goo Jai. Ching Wan joked, "Because I normally behaved low key, they can't tell what I am capable of. Seemingly a land baron is right to be more low profile, isn't that how the saying goes? Low profile is the biggest brag."

Ng Yin Cho said that in the film he played a surveillance expert whose mission is to help Goo Jai eavesdrop on Ching Wan. He said, "Goo Jai and I are on the same side, Lau Ching Wan is by himself." Goo Jai joked that actually he and Ng Yin Cho were not "isolating" Ching Wan but were "ganging up" on Ching Wan. He said, "Who let Lau Ching Wan play such a big 'land baron'! Ng Yin Cho and I of course have to team up to fight the 'landlord'!" Zhou Xun had a tough life in the film. Because of the land struggle she was swept into the center of the "landlord fight". Her appearance made Ching Wan, Goo Jai and Ng Yin Cho start a palace style psychological battle. Goo Jai once joked that "as soon as he saw her he would be flustered". Ching Wan lamented that "It's very hard for me to see her". Ng Yin Cho just smiled and kept quiet.

Juno Mak Chun Lung yesterday attended a 100 Must see Hong Kong Film event in Yau Ma Tei, a Juno designed poster with 100 films was on display. The Juno directed RIGOR MORTIS (GEUNG SI) has won many awards. He revealed that the film will open in June in the U.S. and in Japan in October. The film earlier won awards in Belgium, France and Singapore. He said that RIGOR MORTIS will also compete later at the Seattle Film Festival. He said, "Because it will be close to the June U.S. film release, I will be able to promote as well." When asked if he wanted to win, he said that he felt normal about it.

Juno revealed that he will produce a film that Aubrey Lam Oi Wa will write. They were still looking for a director. In May next year he will direct his own crime film. Will he act again? He said, "Actually people have asked me to act, but because I am too busy I have already turned down two films." Then he lost seven figures, did he regret it? He admitted that he would, but he was interested in acting again and wanted to work with different directors. After RIGOR MORTIS' awards, did anyone knock on his door about a sequel? He admitted that they did but he for now would not consider any sequel. Perhaps he might think about again five years from now.

Fruit Chan’s very Hong Kong story is based on a local internet sci-fi novel with a title made up of 17 Chinese characters plus a comma. A mini-bus leaves beautiful Mongkok one evening for Tai Po. It exits the Lion Rock Tunnel, drops off three Chinese University students and arrives in a Tai Po totally void of people and traffic. Then the passengers start dying horrible disfiguring deaths, or are raped and murdered by fellow travellers. A streetwise apocalyptic vision with special Fruit Chan characteristics, ingeniously aided by local rocker Jan Curious strumming a broom guitar and lip synching “This is ground control to Major Tom...”

A night like any other in the streets of Hong Kong: in the midst of the tangle of night-owls, cars and vendors, a group of passengers climbs aboard a minibus that is to take them from Mongkok to Tai Po. The group is as diverse as the city: there’s a young man on drugs, an arguing couple, a woman with prayer beads and a girl who has just fallen in love. And behind the wheel sits the chatty driver. But as the bus emerges from a tunnel, everything is suddenly quite still: the streets and buildings are all empty and there’s not a soul to be seen; it’s as if everyone has suddenly been swallowed by the earth. Only the millions of neon lights continue to blink, as if nothing has happened. The eclectic group of passengers seek refuge in a deserted cafĂ© and discuss what they should do. Then they make an horrific discovery … After his film Dumplings, which premiered in the 2005 Panorama, indie director Fruit Chan adapts the best-selling novel ‘Lost on a Minibus from Mongkok to Taipo’ and once again turns the horror genre upside down for his screen version, The Midnight After. A fast-paced and scary shocker which also happens to feature a David Bowie song.

Action maestro Dante Lam strikes again with a psychological thriller packed with ferocious antics. Daniel Wu plays Dan, a taciturn and dutiful cop. Cruel fate leads him to save Nick Cheung’s life, the leader of a gang of violent armed robbers, allowing him to go on to commit more crimes and kill more cops. Guilt-ridden, Dan devises an outlandish scheme to “befriend” the leader and causes the gang to implode. But someone who so single-mindedly pursues anything might just be sick in the head and have a history. His superiors suspect as much, but the snowball of crime committed in the name of justice has started rolling.

A shootout on the night-time streets of Hong Kong results in a bleeding man being taken to hospital. Reticent policeman Dave doesn't think twice about donating blood to save him. But the wounded man turns out to be Hon Kong, head honcho of a brutal group of street-thugs known as the ‘Gang from Hell’. The gang commit murderous hold-ups wearing demon masks and show no mercy to either civilians nor the police. Dave is plagued by a guilty conscience and decides to dismantle the gang. He is haunted by increasingly dreadful visions which appear to be connected to his past. When Hon is betrayed by gang-members, Dave decides to throw in his lot with the criminal in order to achieve his goal. But boundaries become blurred: Dave falls under suspicion of murder, colleagues turn out to be corrupt and his visions become ever more threatening ... In That Demon Within multi-award-winning action specialist Dante Lam, who with this new film is now a guest of the Berlinale for the fourth time, tells a virtuoso, psychologically ambiguous cop story imbued with the shady atmosphere and extremes of the megacity.

By a strange twist of fate, dutiful Hong Kong policeman Dan saves the life of the leader of a violent gang of armed robbers. When they commit another crime, Dan is determined to put an end to their activities. He works with the leader, whom the gang had betrayed, to engineer a plan to wreak havoc within the gang and let the gangsters kill one another. But it becomes increasingly obvious to Dan and to his colleagues that Dan is suffering from a severe mental disorder, and Dan finds that instead of upholding the law as a righteous police officer, he has now become a fugitive wanted for murder. Dan changes his plan and executes one final move that is certain to wipe out all traces of the gang and restore his reputation as a good police officer.

Universe artist Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam earlier was revealed to have issued a legal letter to the company to demand a contract termination, angering Universe boss Daneil Lam Siu Ming who has supported her for years. Reportedly, Lam Siu Ming hoped to resolve the issue peacefully and once sent company executives to contact Kong Yeuk Lam in hopes of "gradual negotiation". Unfortunately she declined any communication as she left it to her lawyers. Lam Siu Ming could not be angrier and decided to escalate the matter, resolving it with a "legal duel".

Universe yesterday issued legal letters and added documents that included Wilson Chin Kwok Wai's film LAT GAING BA WONG FA, asking her to sign and follow them within the deadline. The documents were jobs that included some film contracts. If Kong Yeuk Lam insisted against signing them, the company would pursue all damages that would reach seven figures in estimate. Lam Siu Ming admitted that the company indeed has issued a legal letter and added documents to Kong Yeuk Lam, but when asked about their content he said, "I am not at liberty to reveal that."

After the incident began Kong Yeuk Lam kept a low profile until yesterday when she appeared for the first time in Chai Wan for a skin care product ad. Around 12:40PM yesterday Kong Yeuk Lam with her female assistant appeared at a Wan Chai industrial building and was surprised to see reporters, but she still gave a friendly wave. When asked about her lack of communication with her company, she said, "I am not talking about that, I am not at liberty to respond." Around 6PM Kong Yeuk Lam left in a party of five. She graciously stopped for reporters to take photos per their requests. When asked how she was, she gave a gesture and replied, "OK" then she left in her vehicle.

Kong Yeuk Lam has worked for Universe since she started. Next month her fixed term contract would come to an end, but earlier suddenly Kong Yeuk Lam issued a legal letter to the company and asked for the termination of the remaining five year break clause. Kong Yeuk Lam was rumored to have received an "advance" of 500,000 from the company and even said that every month she only relied on the company's advance to live as she had "no income over ten years". So far she has already owed a large sum. On the other hand, Universe boss Lam Siu Ming questioned if she truly had "no income over ten years, how did she live?" He also said that she only "did not make as much as she spent". Lam Siu Ming said that back then Kong Yeuk Lam signed a ten year fix term contract with Universe with a five year break clause that in the five years after the fix term ended the company had to right to her continuing employment.

The Wilson Chin Kwok Wai directed, Charlie Wong Wing Fung produced new film LAT GAING BA WONG FA (HOT INSPECTOR WEARS SKIRTS). Stars Eliza Sam Lai Heung, Jeana Ho Pui Yu, Hidy Yu Hiu Tung, Jade Leung Jung, Jacky Cai Jie and new comer Anita Chui Bik Ka attended the training and looked very convincing.

Wilson revealed that Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam will play a female Special Duties Unit member. He was not afraid of her contract dispute with her company. The soonest she could join the training would be next week. "We follow all the procedures on the contract singing. She and her manager both had no problem, I believe sh wouldn't miss a good role. (Are you afraid of a repeat of the DaDa Chen Jing incident?) They are two different people! In addition this time the damage won't be as harmful, we have many girls who can accommodate."

When the pretty and sweet Heung Heung (Eliza Sam) trained she looked very powerful. She knew that Kong Yeuk Lam has trained in weight lifting for a film and had her heat set on making movies. She hoped that they would be able to work together. "I have heard that she is very hard working, I have to train even harder. I want to train so my muscles are firmer! (To beat her?) No, we are on the same team!" Jeana and Hidy said that they would work hard on training a mermaid line to steal the spotlight. Speaking of Kong Yeuk Lam, Jeana felt that the spirit of the contract should be respected and hoped that she would perform. Hidy joked that if Kong resigned she hoped to fight for more screen time.

Yun Yi yesterday began training for her new film. Speaking of Kong Yeuk Lam's chance to perform, Yun Yi said that they once belonged to the same record company and at the time got along quite well. However recently she had little contact. "I don't know how she feels lately. I want to work with her too and train each other. The world is round though, if this time doesn't work out there would be a next time." Training for the first time yesterday, Yun Yi was obviously tense and nervous. The coach could only tempt her with food and joked that if she fought well she could have ice cream. Yun Yi immediately was filled with emotions and screamed "soda" and "ice cream" when she punched and kicked. She said, "Luckily lately I started going to the gym again and I have been dancing. I am pretty loose. (Are you afraid of injury?) I am! I would use head gear and knee pads, I bruise easily! (Would you ask the director to go easy on you?) I don't need to, I won't ask for special treatment. Morale comes from training together."

Chapman To Man Chak, Kristal Tin Yui Nei yesterday attended the Udine Far East Film Festival screening. Male foreign viewers kept following Tin Yui Nei and in the end event security had to step in. The couple was very gracious. To Man Chak joked, "Since they come to watch a category III film, being dirty is common knowledge!" Tin Yui Nei said that everyone was just being respectful and no one should get tense. No wonder To Man Chak said that his wife was a "sharp wife"!

Last year To Man Chak left a jacket in Udine, the event returned it to him at the screening but Ah Jat did not take it back. He joked that he wanted to leave it for good luck. Film festival president Sabrina Baracetti joked that he was killing her because she had to a place to store the jacket again.

With hemiplegia on the right side of his body from a stroke, Gordon Liu (Lau Ka Fai)'s lawsuit against his first female assistant Eva Fung Ying Wa for the saving account that was in her care began its hearing yesterday, but both parties at the start already announced that they have already reached a settlement. Lau Ka Fai would get back his entire 1.45 million yuan RMB and HK$150,000 saving account and interest. Lau Ka Fai through his custodian Fan Yik Man said that he was happy and that although the lawsuit once made him very down, he still as a friend thanked Fung Ying Wa for taking care of Lau Ka Fai.

Lau Ka Fai received the entire sum of his 1.45 million yuan RMB and HK$150,000 savings account and interest. Custodian Fan Yik Man yesterday revealed outside the court that Fung Ying Wa contacted them the day before the hearing and said willing to return the sum unconditionally. Fan relayed Lau Ka Fai's message that he was very happy to get back his money. He also thanked the legal team that represented him voluntarily. At the same time Lau Ka Fai also thanked Eva for her care during his stork (August 17 2011 to December 27 2012). He regretted that in the end they ended up court because Eva did not keep her promise to return the sum on time.

Fan Yik Man said that although the sum in the lawsuit was not considered a lot, it still affected Lau Ka Fai's earlier treatment. He even went for tea less. She pointed out that since the lawsuit was filed to now the case has gone on for 16 months, during which Lau Ka Fai felt down and upset. Thus she hoped that with the end of the lawsuit he could live properly and "see everyone with his handsome look". Fan Yik Man revealed that the 62 year old Lau Ka Fai has been living in a nursing home and his weight has already risen back to around 120 pounds. His appetite has also improved and he was learning to walk. She pointed out that earlier she discovered a difference while handling Lau Ka Fai's account document and might need to take further legal actio, hinting that more money related lawsuits might be on the way.

As for Lau Ka Fai's 20 some year old son Sin Chun Lung he appeared in court yesterday s well and remained by Eva's side. When Eva left the court she once took reporters on a "garden tour". When asked if sh would visit Lau Ka Fai she even said that she had something that she wished to keep to herself. As soon as she thought of Lau Ka Fai she wanted to cry, then she suddenly choked up.

Yesterday Fan Yik Man said that after the hearing she went to report the good news to Lau Ka Fai. Lau Ka Fai upon learning that he could get back his money, he loudly said, "Great!" He was in good spirits, had a great appetite as he had a big bowl of Cup Dai (pork, liver and kidney) congee, fried curlers and cola. She wanted Lau Ka Fai to promise to eat more and recover and he quickly agreed. For him eating more was not hard at all.

However when he was asked to promise to work hard on his exercises he pouted and barely agreed, Fan Yik Man said.

With a little more than a million, Lau Ka Fai's life and treatment had more flexibility and Fan Yik Man also breathed a sigh of relief. She said, "I am the happiest that we got to the bottom of this. When I had to fight for this sum for Brother Ka Fai, there was a lot of talk, some even suspected that I got something from it. For this lawsuit I have to thank the legal team, they were friends who volunteered to help. If they charged, I am afraid that the money wouldn't be enough to handle the legal cost." As for Lau Ka Fai's Caine Road property sale, she said that it was being handled.

Fan Yik Man lamented that after the lawsuit began, even the doctor was willing to testify on behalf of Brother Ka Fai. Yet his family did not appear. She said that yesterday she saw Lau Ka Fai's son Sin Chun Lung, who actually appeared with Eva. When they ran into each other in court, Sin Chun Lung did not ask her about his father's condition. If he missed his father he could ask her to visit, but he did not do anything. Now Lau Ka Fai has private caretakers in a nursing home. Normally he would be willing to learn to walk, but when more people visit he would say that he was tired and in pain and wanted others to help him. The end of the lawsuit conceivably will help Lau Ka Fai's mood and health.

Louis Koo Tin Lok yesterday attended the Grand Mall opening as the ribbon cutting guest and dotted the eyes for the lion dance; over 400 Mainland tourists looked on, some stood on flower beds to take photos while others waited at each exit in an attempt to rush inside. Despite the metal barriers and security to maintain order, the scene remained chaotic. Inside were stuffed with guests as well, as Goo Jai became the stamp collecting target. Many female guests took the time to take photos with him. Goo Jai still maintained his smile. Reporters had to over various obstacles with several workers making ways for them to be able to enter to cover the event.

Goo Jai revealed that lately he has been flying back and forth as he was busy promoting his films ABERDEEN (HEUNG GONG JAI) and OVERHEARD 3 (SIT TING FUNG WON 3) in Hong Kong and Beijing. Speaking of OVERHEARD 3 earlier being accused of involving a sensitive subject, Goo Jai explained, "This time we only told the history of a real estate company. The New Territories might involve Small House Policy rights, but we mainly talk about the struggle between brothers. Before the shoot we considered this problem too,but now its editing is already done and its approval received. We should have no problem."

The director wants to make a second film and even wants to shoot in Kowloon, which will be very challenging; however money is very important, we have to face the reality. We are afraid that it will be poorly made we would get yelled at." Tsui Tin Yau said that according to an informant, Chan Gor appeared with the second half of MIDNIGHT. "We hope to make the sequel this year because the stories from the first film would be tough if they are unresolved."

Sandra Ng Kwan Yu arrived in Italy to attend the Udine Far East Film Festival. Yesterday she met up with Chapman To Man Chak and Kristal Tin Yui Nei, director Pang Ho Cheung and Matt Chow Hoi Kwong. Aside from attending screenings, they also tried a nine course meal at a Michelin rated restaurant. During the meal they talked and took photos. In the end Pang Ho Cheung paid.

Ah Jat joked that he ate so much that he had to carry his belly out and said that it would be very hard to have dinner with this group in Hong Kong. He was also very happy that Kwan Yu took time to attend his 3D NAKED AMBITION (3D HO CHING) events. Speaking of Kwan Yu slimming down a lot, was Ah Jat envious? He joked, "Kwan Yu as a person and how she eats knows how to weigh her options."

Wong Cho Nam in his new film DELETE MY LOVE is lucky to be between the cute Ivana Wong Yuen Chi as his girlfriend and DUE WEST OUR SEX JOURNEY (YUT LO HEUNG SAI)'s 32G bust Mainland actress Daniella Wang Lidan. With his delete super power in the film, Wong Cho Nam could "delete" anything that he disliked. In the end he even deleted his girlfriend Wong Yuen Chi, turning her into the buxom Wang Lidan.

Wong Yuen Chi and Wang Lidan both wore wedding gowns for the shoot. Wang Lidan displayed her ample bosom and her four inch career line was invincible. Wong Yuen Chi paled by comparison. When asked what his girlfriend Leanne Li Yanan needed to "delete", he said, "Nothing, she is already very perfect. I think she would want to delete mine." Who was better between Wong Yuen Chi and Wang Lidan, he said, "Both are pretty in their own way, Wong Yuen Chi is cute enough."

Earlier Wong Yuen Chi revealed that during the DELETE shoot she learned a lot that she could use for her series production. Wong Cho Nam said, "Sister Chi is just being humble. She used her a natural method to perform. I really like her performance method. Later when I saw her at TVB, he would hug her, praised her talent. She really performed very well."

Alan Tam Wing Lun and Miriam Yeung Chin Wa yesterday attended a World Wish Day 2014 charity event. She revealed that she wanted to give her son Torres a sibling, but this year she will be busy with film productions and promotions and she will have to wait until next year. "After promoting the films ABERDEEN (HEUNG GONG JAI) and DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART 2 (DAN SUN NAM NUI 2), I will make 2 movies in June and September. I am also greedy and want to fulfill my concert wish. Hopefully the Hong Kong Coliseum will give me an earlier schedule next year, after the concerts then I can have a child. Concerts and trying for a child simultaneously? Wow! That's very exhausting, working day and night! Actually I have performed while pregnant, but I was very scared and very worried."

Fala Chen, Karena Ng Chin Yu and Cherry Ngan Cheuk Ling yesterday attended the "Enlight Our Green Senses" event. Earlier they posed for photos to promote the environmental protection message. Fala recently has been linked to Ronald Cheng Chung Kei when they worked on a film together. She admitted that she felt helpless about that and was rather upset.

Fala recently has been working with Cheng Chung Kei on the film JEUNG BO JAI (CHEUNG PO JAI). A report claimed that director Cheng Chung Kei used making Fala a star as an execuse to get close to her. Fala said that the press visited the set that day, she truly was speechless and very helpless when the report turned out like that. Was she upset? She said, "More or less I am, over the years with every production there would be rumors." She said that this time the script was great. Everyone had a very pleasant collaboration so they would only treat it as promotion. As for Cheng Chung Kei being so upset that he cursed online, Fala said that she saw his and Gordon Chan Ka Seung's messages. This time was making something out of nothing, no one wanted to affect the production atmosphere. Did she have to explain to Cheng Chung Kei's wife for him? She joked, "No! It can't be any more false." Speaking of Cheng Chung Kei's support, she said that it also had to depend on her fate. This time she had a good opportunity and she had to properly grasp it. She also said that she will have many more scenes with Cheng Chung Kei in the future and she will not feel embarrassed. In addition Dayo Wong Tsz Wa is the other lead actor. Reporters joked that perhaps later she will be linked to Wong Tsz Wa, Fala said, "Very helpless."
