The art short film LETTER that Carina Lau Ka Ling volunteered to star in yesterday held a media premiere. She and the short film executive producer from Hengzhou Cheng Ran attended the press conference. Ka Ling said that the short film was six minutes long. Earlier they shot for aday in Shanghai. The film depicted a city woman who out of loneliness drowned herself in junk e-mail. Cheng Ran revealed that the short film took 3 to 4 months to prepare and even praised Ka Ling's performance as outstanding. Speaking of the current popularity of micro movies, Ka Ling said that she did not have the talent to direct a short film. She really liked to chat and exchange with artists though because each time she learned something.

Ka Ling also revealed that next week she will head to Thailand for the Lunar New Year film FROM VEGAS TO MACAU 2 (DOH SING FUNG WON 2) and play Chow Yun Fat's woman, but she will play a bad woman who would set him up. Ka Ling said that she has not worked with Fat Gor in a film for over 20 years and praised Fat Gor for being in great shape and even thinner than her. Will he have any intimate scene? Ka Ling said, "A lot of intimate scene, in every scene, they all needed Fat Soh's approval. (Which one was the most daring?) I won't say, you have to ask Fat Soh. However Fat Soh definitely has to observe, otherwise we will have problems. (Will you ask your husband Tony Leung Chiu Wai to observe too?) He can't be bothered!"

Ka Ling recently has been busy with her play. Earlier Wai Jai and his mother attended. Ka Ling said, "Actually both of our families have seen it, Mother in Law wants to watch it again! (In the play she and Tony Leung Ka Fai had a kiss scene, was performing it in front of her mother in law awkward?) No, why are you so conservative? It's just acting, her son has made kiss and bed scenes too!" She said that Wai Jai would understand that this was their art job and Wai Jai has encouraged her. Would she like Wai Jai to attend again? She said that now she was already used to it and rather enjoyed the performance process. Thus she would like him to watch it once more because every show had something different. Wai Jai after watching her performance was also tempted to perform in a play.
