Director Peter Chan Ho Sun earlier received a "Hong Kong and Taiwan director of the year" award at the China Film Directors' Guild Awards 2013 in Beijing. Absent due to work his good friend Andrew Lau Wai Keung accepted on his behalf. Director Lau even led the Hong Kong Directors Guild members Stephen Fung Tak Lun, Derek Kwok Chi Kin, Mabel Cheung Yuen Ting and others to a band jam. Currently in Tainan, Chan Ho Sun said that being able to receive industry insiders' recognition, the award was very meaningful to him.
