In the last few Lunar New Years Raymond Wong Pak Ming and Eric Tsang Chi Wai had a war of words. This year Chi Wai instead worked with Wong Pak Ming on his Lunar New Year film HELLO BABIES (LUK FUK HEI SI). Chi Wai and Wong Pak Ming in 1982 worked together on ACES GO PLACES (JUI GAI PAK DONG). Wong Pak Ming said that he was the screen writer while Chi Wai was the director. The film at the time made 27 million. He hoped HELLO would also have such a box office number. Wong Pak Ming was not worried about four Hong Kong films dividing up the box office this year. Instead he felt the more Hong Kong film releases the better they are for the market.

Sandra Ng Kwan Yu this year had two Lunar New Year films, HELLO and her own GOLDEN CHICKENSSS (GUM GAI SSS). Was Kwan Yu undercover on the set of HELLO? Kwan Yu felt that two films had completely different styles, but she joked that whatever Brother Pak Ming had her GOLDEN CHICKEN SSS had too. Chi Wai added, "Pak Ming's is a Lunar New Year film, hers is a dirty film." Kwan Yu explained that Wong Pak Ming started making the Lunar New Year film in August. She had a few months without anything to do so, so she made GOLDEN CHICKEN SSS; Chi Wai directly called Kwan Yu a jerk.

Kwan Yu in the film played a birthing coach but she also taught Ronald Cheng Chung Kei and Fiona Sit Hoi Kei about kissing and sex yoga. She and Chi Wai did not have any kiss scene, otherwise she would be afraid that her daughter would see it. Kwan Yu said, "My daughter is very familiar with him. They celebrated Chi Wai's 60th birthday together. When she was very little she already knew this uncle, why he would often frequent their home and kiss Mama. She knew that my relationship with this uncle was very intriguing."
