The 5th Macau International Movies Festival took place two nights ago. Anthony Wong Chau Sun and Mainland star Liu Yifei with IP MAN THE FINAL FIGHT (IP MAN JUNG GIK YUT JIN) and THE ASSASSINS won Best Actor and Actress respectively. Jackie Chan with CZ12 won Best Action Film and Best Director. AMAZING won Best Picture. William Chan Wai Ting with AS THE LIGHT GOES OUT (GAU FOR YING HUNG) won Best Supporting Actor. Gillian Chung Yun Tung with IP MAN THE FINAL FIGHT won Best Supporting Actress. Janelle Sing Kwan with BABY BLUES (NGAI YING) won the New Actor award.

Chau Sun only briefly spoke to express his thanks when he accepted the award. Later he said, "Winning an award is useless, the most important is the box office. I hope peopl will keep offering me film roles. I want to share this joy with my mother the most, unfortunately Mother suffered three strokes and could not even recognize me." Started her career at age 15, Liu Yifei after 10 years in film won her first Best Actress. She was both surprised and honored. She was experiencing a lot of emotions at the moment. Film made her grow and also became the most important part of her life. Chan Wai Ting felt very encouraged. Ah Gil was also happy to win an award with an action film.
