Nicholas Tse Ting Fung yesterday promoted his film AS THE LIGHT GOES OUT (GAU FOR YING HUNG). Speaking of no matter how hard an artist worked, the outside seemed to care more about an artist's personal life. Ting Fung said that sometimes he would feel disillusioned, and mentioned that earlier he and his former wife Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi had family time with their sons in Singapore but was instead accused of self speculation to promote his new film.

Ting Fung angrily said, "I have already said 100 times that it's not a reunion, you are the ones who say it is a reunion but still you accuse me of speculating. If you don't write about it then no one will speculate, it's just that simple. You are the good guy and the bad guy, this is nut! Whatever, I understand that Hong Kong has some domestic culture like this, so I want to speak on behalf of friends in the media. If no one pays money to buy rumors to read about, where would rumors come from? So I don't read the news from the newspaper, I don't know how credible it is."

Ting Fung admitted that as Lucas and Quintus' father, seeing them is very normal. He would deliberately dodge his former wife Pak Chi. They would always have the chance to go out and see their sons, but that did not mean that they would get back together.

Ting Fung also cited his parents Patrick Tse Yin and Deborah Li as examples. He said, "They raised me for 33 years, divorced for 30 years, why didn't you write about their reunion? Luckily they have Mustache Kong between them, if not for Uncle Kong they would be written as sneaking Tse Ting Fung and Tse Ting Ting out. Do Pak Chi and I have to have someone between us one day for you to stop believing that we would get back together?" When reporters said that rumors would only continue, he helplessly said that on a certain level he accepted everyone thinking this way, he could only work harder and hope that everyone would pay attention to his work more than when he would have a girlfriend.
