The Calvin Poon Yuen Leung directed new film SHADOWS OF LOVE (YING JI OI YUN) has completed its production earlier.  The director shared how he got along with actress Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi and Korean star Kwon Sang-Woo.  Poon Yuen Leung said that at first he was very worried that he would have to handle many problems.  "If the actors were not focused, then focusing on the shoot would be very hard.  At the same time I worried about not being able to communicate with Kwon Sang-Woo, but actually it was easier to handle than I would imagine."  The director pointed out that Kwon Sang-Woo did his job fully.  Not only was his work attitude good, he was also able to give him the acting that he needed.

The other "time bomb" Cheung Pak Chi during the shoot ran into a marital crisis; the director said, "Both actors' schedules were dead set, as they were only able to give a little more than a month.  The shoot was already very intense, but Pak Chi had to take three days off last minute.  At the time I was worried, if she returned from vacation and still was unable to return to the production mood the entire production progress would be stymied.  I appreciated her for after returning being able to do her job fully.  In one scene she even amazed me.  They argued and broke up, her performance was very focused.  Pak Chi seemed to put her own thing into the role, the feeling made the movie even better."

Cheung Pak Chi's recent film box office has been lacking.  Poon Yuen Leung protected her and said, "It's not Pak Chi's fault, mostly because viewers felt those movies were not their first choice.  (Andrew) Lau Wai Keung, Shu Qi and Liu Ye's BEAUTIFUL LIFE also had a great team but its box office wasn't great."
