Gold label manager Willie Chan Chi Keung two nights ago turned 70 and booked a bar and restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui to celebrate with over 100 guests. Former artists who he managed and friends came, even superstars like Pak Shuet Sin, Cherie Chung Chor Hung and Maggie Cheung Man Yuk appeared.

Two nights ago the birthday party took place under yellow storm and thunder warnings. Willie said originally he booked a hotel restaurant for the occasions, but unexpected many guests asked to come. Finally the event had to relocate to the restaurant two nights ago to be able to entertain over 100 guests. Willie also had to send another invitation to inform guests of the location change. Two nights ago guests were not less spectacular than any award show. Sister Sin was dressed in purple, Hung Goo was dressed in blue and Cheung Man Yuk was dressed in black. Other guests included Cally Kwong Mei Wan, Lee Lam Lam and John Chiang Dai Wai, Deborah Li and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Yeung Sau Sing, Teresa Mo Shun Kwan and husband Au Ting Ping, Josie Ho Chiu Yi and Chan Chi Chung, Cecilia Yip Tung and Chan Kwok Fun, Ti Lung and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heung Wa Keung, Chiu Nga Chi and Melvin Wong Kam Sun, Stanley Kwan Kam Peng and others.

The guests declined any media interview to keep from stealing the birthday boy's thunder. Lee Lam Lam who has been rumored to be with cancer was asked about her condition. She turned around and said to everyone, "You can see. Thank you for caring, but tonight's star is Chan Chi Keung." Lam Ka Tung said that he asked friends in the industry to make a video for the birthday boy. Kwong Mei Wan said that she gave a wallet. New god son Juno Mak Chun Lung appeared in a long dress.

Jackie Chan, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) and Louis Koo Tin Lok did not attend because they were out of town. Willie said that Jackie Chan who was in France sent purple orchid, which was at home. Ng Yin Cho called at midnight and promised to celebrate again later. Willie said, "Some smart ass friends didn't know what to give and joked that no present would be fine. Everyone actually really cared about me in their hearts. The gift that I want the most is just forever love and care from friends." Willie Said that he prepared 240 bottles of red and white wine and whiskey, hoping that everyone would have fun to the utmost. As for birthday wish, Willie said, "Starting this year every birthday will be the 70th, because the number 70 sounds very sad and very scary, but I am very happy to receive everyone's respect."

Cheung Man Yuk arrived before the storm. Willie saw Maggie and said, "I am very happy to see Maggie flying back to celebrate with this 'Old Man', I truly am very happy. If you keep asking, I would cry." As for memorable memories of Chan Chi Keung, Maggie said, "I was very little, around 19 or 20 I was with him. He taught me many things. I remembered back then he told me to stop buying clothes, and I really cut back. So today no matter what I have to attend." Willie earlier received the Hong Kong Film Award Lifetime Achievement Award. Has Maggie celebrated with him yet? Willie said, "This daughter no matter what award I receive, no matter how far away she is, she would send me text messages."
