Eric Tsang Chi Wai yesterday attended a Hong Kong Film Awards press conference. When his good friend Alan Tang Kwong Wing passed, every friend's first reaction was suspicion. "No way! He was in great health." Chi Wai said that he often saw Tang Kwong Wing exercise, early to bed and early to rise his life was very healthy. Chi Wai said, "He in recent months even quit drinking. He also walked his dog, played golf, his life was normal. I thought the news was very sudden, very hard to imagine. Recently I even heard him urge young people not to drink too much as it was not good for the heart."

Chi Wai said, he did not know about Tang Kwong Wing's heart disease and did not know whether he kept seeing a doctor. He also was unsure whether he went on casino cruises. Chi Wai after learning about Tang Kwong Wing's passing communicated with friends. Finally Willie Chan Chi Keung who personally visited the Tang family confirmed the news. Chi wai knew that many media would visit his home. The Tang family wished for more peace because Mother Tang was still at home. As for any remaining wish, Chi Wai said, "Not really, because it was too sudden." As for the Hong Kong Film Awards vice chair, Eric Tsang Chi Wai would call for a meeting about Tang Kwong Wing's passing. The Hong Kong Film Awards meeting would discuss artists who passed away this year. As for assisting with the funeral, chi Wai said that he would ask the "Rat Pack" whether they needed any help as he still has not contacted his family yet.

As for the April 1 Japan Earthquake Disaster Relief event at the Victoria Park, some artists who responded. They included Japanese artist Semmasao, Masatoshi Nakamura, AKB48, Korean representatives Wonder Girls, Indonesian representative Serena and Judy Ongg (Yuk Sin Yuk). Hosts would include Alice Chan Mei Ling, Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Carol Cheng Yui Ling, Lawrence Cheng Tan Shui and Sylvia Chang (Cheung Ngai Ga). Wonder Girls would perform their hit I LOVE ASIA. The event also asked other artists for pledge videos, including Tony Leung Chiu Wai who was in Beijing and Kelly Chen Wai Lam. Tsang Chi Wai said, the admission would be HK$20. The event would not arrange for many singer performances as in past disaster relief events because they would like to air more videos from the disaster area. The event would provide 220 line donation hotlines, 20 of which would be for Japanese people's use and provide Japanese services. The event would keep traffic flowing, arranging locations for people to place flowers and candles. Victoria Park's three soccer fields would be used for the event.

Cheung Ngai Ga last night attended the BUDDHA MOUNTAIN premiere at the Cultural Center. She said that she just returned to Hong Kong and has not have the time to match notes. As far as she knew Jon Lee Chung Sing will come from Taiwan. She definitely would make a donation. As for Tang Kwong Wing's sudden passing earlier, Sister Chang said that she knew and honestly said that it was very sudden. She said that they worked together before over 30 years ago. She said that in recent years they had very little contact but constantly ran into each other. She said, "Early in my acting career, he was the most popular romantic film actor. Together we worked on Lung Kong 's film." She did not know he had heart disease but every time she saw him he looked very strong and very happy. She said that in her impression he treated friends very well and was very loyal. Speaking of romantic rumors between them, she said, "You made that up, do you believe in newspapers?" Later she changed the subject and said that BUDDHA MOUNTAIN was about life and death. Today her mood was pretty bad. As for attending the funeral, she would have to check her schedule.
