ECHOES OF THE RAINBOW (SHUI YUET SUN TAU) yesterday held a press conference at the Hong Kong Film Market. Director Alex Law Kai Yui, screen writer Mabel Cheung Yuen Ting, and actor Araif Lee Chi Ting attended. The host expressed that the film since its release on March 11 to two nights ago (the 21st) already exceeded 10 million at the box office.

Some pointed out that the ECHOES content due to cultural difference might be difficult for the Mainland audience to understand? Law Kai Yui said, "Before we went to the Berlin Film Festival we were very nervous about them not understanding, but we saw the audience's reaction was overwhelming and cried a lot. Obviously film can exceed any boundary, so I am not too worried." The film release changed the Wing Lee Street rebuilding project. Law Kai Yui was very happy but no matter what the ultimate fate of Wing Lee Street will be, he only hoped that no conflict or struggle will appear.

In addition, Lee Chi Ting was nominated for Best New Performer with the film. He was already very happy about the nomination. As for Best Actor nominee Simon Yam Tat Wa, Law Kai Yui said, "I hope he will be able to break through his fate. I have a lot of confidence in him. He is a great actor, hopefully both he and (Sandra Ng) Kwan Yu will win. Then it will be even better!"
