The Hong Kong film and television National Day celebration planning committee organized National Day 60th Anniversary celebration took place last night at Admiralty with 16 renowned heavyweights from politics and film and television at the toast. They included Chief Secretary for Administration Henry Tang Ying-yen, Legislative Council chair Jasper Tsang Yok-sing, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Secretary General Zhao Guangting, Hao Tiechuan, Hong Kong Basic Law Committee Vice Director Dr. Elsie Leung Oi Sze, Hong Kong Chamber of Films president and planning committee chair Peter Lam Kin Ngok and Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers president Ng See Yuen. Attending guests included Best Actor and Actress award winners Nick Cheung Ka Fai, Cecilia Yip Tung, Paw Hee Ching, Law Lan, current Miss Hong Kong and runner ups, Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam, Tiffany Lee Lung Yi, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Chow Man Wai, Ti Lung and guest performers Yumiko Cheng Hei Yi and William Chan Wai Ting.

Chief Secretary Tang in his speech expressed that since the reunification Hong Kong has the nation's strong and powerful support and continuously strengthens exchange and collaboration with each Mainland area to create more new developments and opportunities. The film industry can be considered the forerunner. Lam Kin Ngok expressed that with the Mainland market as strong support, talent and resources of the three lands on both sides of the strait merged. With Hong Kong film professionals' creativity and commercial instinct they definitely will be able to make Chinese film for a new era and Hong Kong film future will be bright. Film Bureau deputy director general La Peikang represented the National Film Bureau in its sincere appreciation and thanks to friends in the Hong Kong film and television's support of the nation and contribution to the China film industry.

Currently on a break, Cheung Ka Fai is preparing for JING YUN 2 ji SIN YUN (BEAST STALKER 2 INFORMANT). Although the cast is the same, the story and the characters are different. Did he feel more pressure after becoming the Best Actor? He said, "I don't have more pressure because of the award, instead I can die after winning the award! I participate in this project with a relaxed mood. (Are you playing a villian or a hero?) This time the characters have no good or bad guy. Everyone in order to achieve their goal cross the line a little in the process." As for Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi's rumored pregnancy, Ka Fai expressed that so far he still has not seen Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and he will not be nosy and ask. He even joked, "If I find out and tell you, won't I become a snitch?" He also honestly said that this time he got a raise and was very satisfied.

Lam Kin Nogk was asked whether he would like the Mainland market to be even more open. He said, "The Mainland market is already very open. I believe that in the future it will become more and more advanced. (Will you start a cinema circuit in the Mainland?) I already have one in Guangzhou, but I will take it one step at a time with Beijing!"
